Little known streamer eOne is looking to buy the rights to Designated Survivor as long as another party jumps on board.

The Sutherland series has a high international fan base and it’s pretty popular over on Netflix. The Canadian SVOD service eOne, says that its fighting to save the show. Designated Survivor had strong DVR performance as well. I’ve written about Designated Survivor as it tried to find a voice in the turbulent Trump era. Political Dramas have done well including Madam Secretary and CBSAA’s The Good Fight, which was also recently picked up for a season 3.

Designated Survivor would be the second high profile show to be saved this year, as fans rally to save other high profile dramas such as Fox’s Lucifer, and NBC’s Timeless.
