In the summer of 2011, I watched one of the best TV pilots I’ve ever seen. Since then Suits has grown into a big family. Now in it’s eighth year, suits is re-branding itself as a bonafide franchise, but it’s losing some of their family too. Will they be able to keep on ticking like Hawaii Five-O has, or will the series end after season 8?

As co-stars Patrick J. Adams (Mike), and (Princess) Meghan Markle (Rachel) leaves the show, what will happen to it without the famous duo of Mike and Harvey? As I wrote about, their old partner Jessica Pearson is helming her own Spin-Off, and it’s looking like she’s going to be in bed with some dirty Chicago politicians which will be a lot darker than the glitz and glamour of the NYC Corporate world that we know from the parent show.

It goes to reason that there will be crossovers between the two suits shows, but for many fans this is the end of the series. Mike went from a burnout pothead with a photographic memory to running a west coast law firm and he’s married the girl of his dreams. That IS a great ending to the series.

But as franchises and name brands become all too important in the TV/streaming space, it seems the Suits franchise is just getting started and that’s pretty exciting. Next season we already know that Harvey will be getting a new partner to help steer the ship, and maybe just maybe the Business TVerse will expand even more.
