Pundits, commentators, and journalists are all part of the fourth estate; one of the cornerstones of democracy.

John McAfee-

Dubbed, the Stock Market 2.0, Bitcoin and it’s cousin Altcoins are leading the way to a new gold rush and of course it’s only fitting that this new road to riches which is pretty much completely free from government regulation would find a leader in John McAfee. The controversial founder of the once great Anti-Virus software company that bares his name has sworn an oath to eat his dick on live TV, if Bitcoin fails to reach $500,000 a coin. Bitcoin reached an All Time High of $19,783 in December of 2017. McAfee has carved a niche for himself as a altcoin speculator. With no regulations on this market, when a famous person tweets about an unknown coin, the price skyrockets. Is that good or bad? Is it possible McAfee has too much power here? For now the community claims it’s just fine, but that could easily change in 2018.

Jake Tapper

With it’s fact first campaign, CNN’s leader in fact-checking in the age of Trump is none other than Jake Tapper. He has already earned himself his own profile written up on my blog because of how impressed I have been with his reporting over the past year. He is seemingly one of the only political pundits who will not allow Trump supporters to walk all over him and frequently calls them out for lying.

Ronan Farrow-

When it all comes down to it, Ronan Farrow the young NBC journalist is the one who broke the infamous story about Harvey Weinstein. Without him sexual assault wouldn’t be at the forefront of our national discussions that shape business and policy.

Jimmy Kimmel-

While Colbert maintains the lead with his savage Anti-Trump jokes, Jimmy Kimmel has risen to the number two late night talk show host and his ratings spiked when for the first time ever (not after a national tragedy) a talk show host ditched the funny monologue for something more heartfelt and more emotional than ever before. The year of 2017 rocked Kimmel’s world with the birth of his son who had complications with his heart and the talk show host had to be away from his beloved TV show for up to a week at times.  Guest hosts filled in for him and Kimmel came back with political activism. In his heart healthcare was a more important issue to talk about than jokes or anti-trump jeers.

The Cast of SNL-

In the age of Trump, SNL has seen a resurgence and has become a relevant comedic voice once more. Gaining it’s highest ratings in over 20 years it’s harsh anti-Trump stance led to a wave of dead on impersonations of members from the Trump White House. Alec Baldwin’s impersonation of Donald Trump matches none other. Melissa McCarthy’s surprising chops as the rambunctious Sean Spicer and Kate McKinnon’s impersonation of Kellyanne Conway were scary accurate. And the portrayal of Steve Bannon as Death may have been their only miss, but come on, you can’t say you didn’t watch those youtube videos of the cold opens!

Lavar Ball-

It takes a special kind of crazy to troll The President. I have labelled Trump a master in the art of trolling but, Trump might have met his match in Lavar Ball. In early 2017, the egotistical sports personality kept his very public thoughts mostly about Basketball. Ball’s notable to the basketball world because he often brags about how good his children are at basketball where else but on twitter. In mid-2017 he rose his profile by getting under the President’s skin in the best way imaginable. He didn’t thank Trump for releasing his son from a Chinese prison for shoplifting. That sentence just about sums up the year 2017 as a whole.

Milo Yiannopoulos-

The biggest troll in the alt-right movement deserves his own special place on my list this year. His profile has risen to incredible heights despite the fact that this twerp doesn’t really seem to do much. Often contradicting himself and complains all the time like a little baby, this Trump lover caused much chaos at certain university campuses when he got into tussles about his rights to speak there. But I mean, it’s not like we haven’t heard his stuff before…. His social media network along with his website is a purveyor of fake news and the right wing Trump base eats it up anyway, because they like what he says. It doesn’t matter that he doesn’t actually write all of this stuff or actually cares about his view points either. He just wants to troll.

Joe & Mika (Moring Joe Co-Hosts) –

No other news personalities are on a first name basis with the American Public, but now they are thanks to their very famous feud with Trump. Psycho Joe and Low IQ Mika were once pretty chummy with President Trump until he publicly attacked them. They don’t recognize the same man they knew throughout the years. Joe Scarborough himself speculating that Trump might have early on-set dementia.

Carmen Yulín Cruz (Mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico) –

Cruz made a name for herself after Hurricane Maria decimated Puerto Rico, by begging the Trump administration to do more. Trump replied by saying that Puerto Rico needs to take care of itself. The public fight seemed to indicate that Trump did not know that Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory and that we help these islands. This led to one of the most partisan fights in the country, about how Puerto Rico handled itself and criticized the leadership in San Juan. Cruz is now considered to be a rising star in the Democratic Party.

James Comey

My feelings about Comey are well recorded. He’s the most powerful political force on the planet and he hasn’t even run for anything yet. With his current book deal, it’s looking more likely than ever that he is secretly mounting a bid for President in the future. His press conference in June, was the largest congressional hearing to ever be viewed on TV. Comey’s presence can still be felt overshadowing the Russian investigation under Robert Mueller and elsewhere in Washington DC.

Are you seeing a pattern with the people on this list yet? YUP! They most of them got into a fight with Trump or deals with him in some way! So perhaps it is True. Donald J. Trump is his best orator.
