The Disney Streaming Service set to launch late 2019, is bulking up. Because Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are expected to headline their own series on the streaming service. The Loki and Scarlet Witch TV Series are expected to be limited series running anywhere from 6-8 episodes. Perhaps taking the idea from Star Trek Shorts?

These will be different than the gritty NYC based Marvel TV shows. They will apparently eclipse not just their budgets but the budgets of other major entertainment studios. With the mixed reception of the latest seasons of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. The ending of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the terrible Inhumans, the Marvel TV branch is struggling. So perhaps this is an effort for Disney to consolidate the often confusing state of the MCU on TV. As it enters a new Post-Thanos era in 2019 the MCU shows no signs of slowing down.

With this change The Marvel TV universe does appear to hang in the balance with Disney’s contract with Netflix ending in 2019. The Heroes for Hire Universe does not appear to be a top priority anymore for Marvel unless they plan to absorb it into these bigger budget productions. Could there then, be the possibility we could see Dare Devil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones, fight along side the Avengers in the movies? It would seem to be an easy solution to the messy state of the universe.

If these shows do well enough and Loki is the best character to headline this new series of TV shows, as he has a huge fanbase, then there are obviously other characters fans would love to see have their own series. Falcon, Hawkeye, and Rocket to name a few that could headline really interesting TV series.
