As major fast food chains and retail stores fail to make headlines, except for their short-comings, something has to be said for the genius behind Breaking Bad’s marketing team.

The iconic Los Pollos Hermanos came to life in Austin last week as fans got to eat Curly Fries, and got to hang out with resident baddies, in a viral marketing campaign that was a huge success!

While it is unclear if there are any real plans to continue this real-world extension of the Breaking Bad franchise, into an actual Los Pollos Hermanos store-front, it should be something to think about.

Yes, running a restaurant is a lot different than running a TV show, but it’s been done before, and this year’s SXSW was no exception.
